About

Building a smarter approach
to solar maintenance

We inspect, clean and look after commercial and industrial solar sites in Zimbabwe.

What we are building

Not a cleaning company.
Not a reseller.

Zimbabwe has installed a great deal of commercial solar in a short time, and very little of the infrastructure for looking after it. Arrays are commissioned, handed over, and left to the weather until something visibly goes wrong.

LUMEN is built around what comes after commissioning: knowing the condition of an site, keeping it clean, and coming back often enough to hold it there. The drones and robots are just how we do it — what you are buying is more power out of panels you have already paid for.

What we build to

How we
work

Precision

Work from what the site shows — its own photographs and its own dust, not a regional average.

Innovation

Drones and robots pointed at a cleaning problem that only gets harder as a site grows.

Reliability

A schedule an operator can plan around, and a report after every visit.

Efficiency

The service is sized to the array, which keeps it viable from one roof to a solar farm.

Sustainability

More output from the same panels, land and capital. Maintenance is the cheapest capacity on site.

Find out what your
array is losing

Tell us the size of the site, where it is, and how it gets cleaned today. We come back with what the dust is costing you, in US dollars, and what we would do about it.
