Solar performance services — Zimbabwe

Dust is costing
you power.

We inspect, clean and maintain commercial and industrial solar across Zimbabwe, using drones and robots — so most of the work happens without anyone up on the roof.

The loss you already pay for

Six months of dust,
and no rain to shift it.

6months No rain to help May to October. Road dust, veld fires and harvest drift build on glass with nothing to wash them off.
8–25% Lost to dust What panels lose by late September if nobody cleans them. Worst on the mine belt and beside gravel roads.

Dirty panels make less power. On a small roof that is easy enough to deal with. On a large site it turns into a job nobody wants to schedule: hundreds of rows, awkward access, and weeks between the first panel cleaned and the last.

So most sites get cleaned late, or not at all, and nobody knows what it is costing.

Services

Inspect it. Clean it.
Keep it clean.

Three services, in that order. Each one uses what the one before it found.

01

LUMEN Inspect

Find out what is actually wrong.

One flight covers the whole site. You get the photographs, a list of what needs attention, and what we would do about it.

Designed forAny commercial site

02

LUMEN Clean

We clean the panels. You do not buy a machine.

No equipment to buy, nobody to train. You agree the job, we do it, and you get a record of what was cleaned.

Designed for100 kW and above

03

LUMEN Care

We come back, so it stays clean.

How often depends on how fast your site gets dirty, which the first inspection tells us. Every visit is written down.

Designed for500 kW to multi-MW

The machine

This is what
does the work.

It carries a nozzle, not a tank. The pump and the water stay on the ground, the drone takes the nozzle up, and nobody has to walk the rows to reach the far end of the site.

Power you keep

How much power you keep across a Zimbabwean year Dust losses stay low through the November to March rains, then build through the April to October dry season. The solid line is the LUMEN cleaning schedule; the dashed line is how the site is cleaned now; the filled band between them is the power recovered.

An estimate, not a promise. It uses a seasonal dust profile for the Zimbabwean highveld, caps the loss at 25%, assumes the rains wash the panels through the wet season, and treats every clean as a full reset. An inspection replaces these assumptions with what your site is actually doing.

Why LUMEN

A better way to
maintain solar

Done from the air

A drone crosses the whole site in one flight instead of working along it row by row.

Judged on output

What matters is the power coming out, not how the glass looks from the gate.

Built for big sites

Size and access are what make cleaning expensive, so the method has to work at both ends.

Kept on a schedule

One clean helps for a month. Coming back is what keeps the number up.

Who we serve

Built for
solar operators

Mining

Haul roads, crushers and stockpiles put dust in the air all dry season.

Manufacturing

The panels run the plant, so dust on them shows up as bought power or diesel.

Agriculture

Large arrays beside gravel roads and worked land, exposed to harvest drift.

Commercial

Warehouses, factories, hotels and offices — roof-mounted, and access is the first problem.

Solar farms

Ground-mount sites where cleaning is measured in hectares rather than panels.

Developers & owners

People answerable for sites they do not visit, who need the condition written down.

Reporting

The job doesn't end
when the drone lands

After every visit you get a record: what we covered, what we did, and what the site looked like when we left. Over time that becomes its history.

  • Inspection imagery
  • Thermal imagery where applicable
  • Areas inspected
  • Cleaning activity
  • Observations
  • Recommendations
  • Maintenance history

Find out what your
array is losing

Tell us the size of the site, where it is, and how it gets cleaned today. We come back with what the dust is costing you, in US dollars, and what we would do about it.
